Sielmat, August 15, 2025 – Sielmat Bible College joined the nation in celebrating the 79th Independence Day of India with a simple yet meaningful program held in the college campus on Friday morning.
The celebration began with the unfurling of the Indian tricolour followed by the solemn singing of the National Anthem, as faculty, staff, and students stood in reverence to honour the sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters.
A time of prayer was led by the Registrar, invoking God’s blessing upon the country, its leaders, and its people. The Principal, Rev. Jonathan Infimate, delivered a stirring address, reflecting on the values of freedom, responsibility, and faith, and encouraging the college community to live as responsible citizens and faithful servants of God in society.
The Chief Guest, Elder Laldatlien Tusing, shared words of encouragement and inspiration, reminding all present of the blessings of independence and the continuing responsibility to uphold unity, peace, and progress.
Following the formal program, the gathering concluded with a time of fellowship over light refreshments, fostering a spirit of community and gratitude among all who attended.
Sielmat Bible College thus joined millions across the nation in remembering India’s journey to freedom and in reaffirming its commitment to shaping leaders who serve God and society with integrity.
