Practical ministry is integral to holistic growth at Sielmat Bible College. The college emphasizes four key ministry areas, guided by the Dean of Practical Ministry .
Weekend Ministry
Students visit hospitals, schools, outlying villages, the Bethesda College of Nursing, Gospel for India, and Mount Carmel High School every weekend. This is an important part of the student’s holistic growth and formation .
Outreach Ministry
Every Sunday, students are organized to go out and share their faith and serve people in:
- Hospitals
- Nursing schools
- Rehabilitation centers
- Army camps
- Village Sunday schools
- Local churches
Programs are supervised by the Dean of Practical Ministry .
Practical Work (Summer/Winter Ministry)
Every student is required to do practical ministry or fieldwork during winter and summer breaks in cooperation with the college or under the guidance of their local churches. Upon returning from vacation, students must submit a ministry report duly countersigned by their Presbytery/Field Secretary or Pastor(s) .
Gospel Tour
The College conducts gospel tours from time to time to visit states and villages within and outside Manipur. This is considered one of the best types of ministry that students can experience during their studies .
Spiritual Emphasis Program
Additionally, a yearly Spiritual Emphasis Program invites faculty and students into three enriching days of focused spiritual renewal .
Services
Morning devotions and vesper services include worship, Bible reading, and prayer, setting a Christ-centered tone for learning and service .
