Sielmat, August 15, 2026: Sielmat Bible College (SBC) observed India’s 80th Independence Day with a special programme held at the college campus on Saturday morning.
The programme commenced at 6:30 a.m. and was conducted by Lalnunfel Tuolor. The observance included Bible reading and prayer led by Malsawmdawnglien, followed by a welcome address by Laltlankung, President of the SBC Student Association.
As part of the celebration, Lalhailal Khawbung presented a special number. The national flag was unfurled by Rev. Dr. V. Lalnghakthang, Principal of Sielmat Bible College, who also delivered a short speech on the occasion.
A prayer for the nation was offered by Serto John Kom, followed by congregational singing of Amazing Grace. The programme concluded with a closing prayer and the dedication of refreshments by Billy Vanlalthuoi.
The Independence Day observance brought together the college community in a spirit of gratitude and national remembrance, while highlighting the importance of prayer and commitment to the nation.
