Evangelical College of Theology, Manipur | October 31 – November 1, 2025

The Academic Formation Workshop 2025 was successfully held at the Evangelical College of Theology (ECT), Manipur, from October 31 to November 1, 2025. The workshop brought together faculty members from all Asia Theological Association (ATA)-accredited colleges within Lamka, Churachandpur, including the full participation of the Sielmat Bible College (SBC) faculty.

The sessions were led by two distinguished facilitators—Dr. Bennet Lawrence, Regional Secretary of ATA India, and Dr. Biren Nayak, Associate Regional Secretary, ATA India.
Their presentations covered a range of vital academic and pedagogical topics designed to strengthen theological education in the region.

  5. Principles of Teaching
  6. Flipped Classroom

Topics by Dr. Biren Nayak:

  3. Rubrics

The two-day workshop emphasized the importance of contextualized theological training, effective teaching methodologies, and personal growth among theological educators. Faculty members engaged actively in discussions, sharing ideas and best practices relevant to their respective institutions.


Joint Worship Service – November 2, 2025

To conclude the workshop, a Joint Worship Service will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the Gospel Centenary Hall, Evangelical Baptist Convention (EBC), Lamka.
The service will feature Dr. Bennet Lawrence as the Guest Speaker, delivering the message of the day.

Program Schedule:

  • Worship: Led by TCS students
  • Conductor: Mrs. Mary Jones Varte, Lecturer, ECT
  • Opening Prayer: Rev. Dr. Paozathang Ingsom, Principal, DTS
  • Welcome Speech: Dr. Biren Nayak, ATA India
  • Scripture Reading: Mrs. Khawlbiakching, Lecturer, GBC
  • Message: Dr. Bennet Lawrence, Regional Secretary, ATA India
  • Closing Hymn: Joy to the World
  • Closing Prayer: Rev. Jonathan Infimate, Principal, SBC

Additional Information:

  1. Each participating institution will present one special item.
  2. Institutions are to arrange their own transportation as needed.
  3. The conductor will call for special items and hymns at her discretion.
  4. GBC students will serve as ushers and handle physical arrangements.
  5. Refreshments will be served after the service.

This joint academic and worship event serves as a reminder of the shared mission and unity among ATA-accredited institutions in Lamka. Sielmat Bible College expresses heartfelt gratitude to ATA India, ECT, and all participating colleges for their collaboration and commitment to advancing theological education in Northeast India.
