SIELMAT, January 26, 2026 – Sielmat Bible College (SBC) marked the nation’s 77th Republic Day with a patriotic morning ceremony on its campus today.
The event commenced at 7:30 AM, hosted by Mr. Malsawmdawnglien. The highlight was the flag-hoisting ceremony conducted by Rev. Dr. J.L. Songate, former Principal, who also delivered a formal address to the gathered faculty, staff, and students. The assembly then joined in a rendition of the National Anthem, followed by a closing prayer offered by the college Principal, Rev. Dr. V. Lalnghakthang.
The formal proceedings concluded with a time of community refreshments.
In a separate Republic Day activity, the student body is scheduled to embark on a hike to the scenic local peak of Tlangsang, also popularly known as Saidan Tlang, later today. The excursion aims to foster camaraderie and a spirit of adventure among the students on this national holiday.
